How to insert images in the materials

In Joomla there are two ways to insert images in the materials. The most popular insert images from the visual editor. This method is especially easy for novice users: a single click you call a window where you can select an image from a server or upload a new one. If you do not use an editor or, for some reason do not want to insert images in a way you can use standard tools of Joomla.

To insert an image into the text of the material by the standard method, when editing the material, switch to the tab “Images”. Then in the “Gallery of pictures, choose one or more images that you want to insert into the material, and then click >>.

Note: To select multiple images, press ctrl and mouse click the image.

To select a directory with pictures, use the drop-down box, located just below the image list. Download additional images to a server by using the Media Manager (menu item “Site> Media Manager”).

After that, the image will appear in the “Images of the material.” Select any image in this list, you can specify a selected image, additional options:

  • Source – Displays the name of the selected image. You can change the name.
  • Alignment of images – select one of the following: “No,” Center “,” Left “or” right. “
  • Alt text – Enter the alternative text for images.
  • Frame – Enter the thickness of the frame around the image in pixels.
  • Signature – Signature of the picture.
  • Label placement – choose one of: “Bottom”, “top”.
  • Alignment of the signature – Select one of: “No,” Center “,” Left “or” right. “
  • Caption Width: Enter the number of pixels of the image width.
  • Apply: Application of selected parameters for the selected image.

Note: To save your changes when you edit the image settings, be sure to click the Apply button under the list of parameters.

Once images are selected and adjusted the display settings proceed directly to the inset image to text material. To this end, the text of the material, where you want to display a picture, write a tag {mosimage}. When you display a special material Joomla mambot automatically replace the tags on the images to your specifications.

Prior to publication of material you can click “View” and see how it will look like art. In the case of an incorrect order of displaying an image, you need to reorder the list of images of the material c Use Up and Down. “
