In Joomla! 1.5 has two modes of extensions: Native and Legacy. Native mode is enabled by default, and is a regular mode of Joomla. Legacy Mode is a compatibility mode, Joomla! 1.5 with extensions from the Joomla! 1.0, ie adds additional functionality specific to Joomla! 1.0, and missing in Joomla! 1.5. That would enable compatibility mode (Legacy Mode) to:

  1. Log in to the administrative panel of Joomla!
