Adding Content to your Joomla website is actually a 2-step process. You have to create the Content and a Menu link from the Menu Manager. You can use JCE to upload your images one by one, or you can FTP en masse to the folder : /images/stories/. I have no idea why Joomla has a folder called "stories," but I haven't cared enough to find out. If you upload images anywhere but /images/stories/, these images won't appear as "Insert" options in your JCE image manager window.

Highlight the word, phrase or image (after you insert the image) you would like be a link.
- Use the
icon to open the Link Manager Window. See details in graphic below.

External Link
- If you want to link to an extrernal link, open a 2nd browser window and browse to the page to which you would like to link.
- Copy and paste the full path of that page address (starting with
“http://”), go back to the Link Manager, and paste the link path into
the field called “URL”
Email Link
Would you like a link to launch your client's email accout with your email address pre-populated?
- Add your email address (
This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
) to the "Address" box (Joomla 1.0) or in Joomla 1.5 click on the email icon on the right hand side and then add your email address in the "Address" box
- You can skip the "title" unless you know exactly what you want to recommend the subject be.
Internal Link
Joomla 1.0
- Would you like to link to an entire Section's worth of content? Choose link to: Section.
- Would you like to link to a single page of content? Choose link to: Article
- Click insert and you are done!
Joomla 1.5
- Once in the Link Manager, in the Link Browser Window you can choose to create an internal link to a specific menu or to a content item.
- By linking to a content item you will be able to linke to a specific single page of contents.
- On the other hand, if you would like to tie the link to a whole section worth of content choose to link to a specific menu item.
