Want to link to a content post from one of your menus?
- In the Joomla top navigation bar, you will see "Menu"
- Rollover "Menu," and click on the appropriate menu. Hopefully they are clearly named.
* Menumenu always contains a link to your homepage (whether it's published or unpublished). Joomla requires this.
* Some websites may have multiple menu systems. Either ask your developer or click around until you find the menu system that contains the links you are looking to add to.
- Click "New"

The Content Editor Screen (also referred to at times as the Text Editor Screen) is a dizzying array of options. Very few options are necessary, but it helps to know what they all do.

If you use Joomla 1.0.14 or earlier, you will encounter this issue, and you need to be prepard or you will be very frustrated.
WHEN EDITING CONTENT: AVOID YOUR BROWSER'S BACK BUTTON!
When editing a post: Train yourself to not use the Back Button on your browser – if you decide to leave the page without making any changes, only click Save or Cancel, or else you will be stuck with a post "locked" for editing and you won't be able to get back in.
Only Use Save or Cancel:
If you click < back on your browser, the post you are editing will lock and look like this:
To break the lock, a Super Administrator has to log in and choose System > Global Checkin.
