This post applies to JCal Pro extension only. If you're using 1 of the dozens of other Joomla Calendar extensions, this tutorial won't help you.

As stated previously, adding content is a two part process. The first part is creating the content item/article and the second part is creating a menu link so that there is a way to get to the new content you just created. This covers step two - creating a new menu item to link to a content post (Joomla 1.0)/article (Joomla 1.5)
- In the Joomla top navigation bar, you will see a "Menu" button
- Rollover the "Menu," button and click on the appropriate menu. Hopefully they are clearly named.
* Main Menu always contains a link to your homepage (whether it's published or unpublished). Joomla requires this.
* Some websites may have Multiple Menu Systems. Either ask your developer or click around until you find the menu system that contains the links you are looking to add to.
- Click "New"
